Swimming rules on Little Swan Lake focus on safety in the no wake zone. Review the time limits, boat positioning, and supervision requirements before swimming from a boat.
Rules will be strictly enforced with a minimum fine of $25 for the first offense, and repeated offenses could lead to loss of lake privileges.
Quick Reminders
Boats Must Be Anchored
Boats must be anchored and the motor turned off before swimmers enter the water.
No Wake Zone Only
Swimming from boats is limited to the no wake zone and boats must stay out of traffic lanes.
Adult Supervision
A responsible person age 18 or older must stay in or be tethered to the boat.
Swimming Rules in the No Wake Zone
- Boats must be anchored and the motor turned off.
- Boats must stay in the center of the no wake zone, not in the traffic lanes.
- Swimming is allowed only from 30 minutes before sunrise until 30 minutes after sunset. If you are swimming within 100 feet of your own shoreline property, there are no hour restrictions.
- Swimmers must stay within 30 feet of the boat.
- A responsible person age 18 or older must stay in or be tethered to the boat.
- No diving is allowed.
- Be sure to inform everyone in your boat of these rules. Be smart and be safe.
